Born in 1963, Lillian Elaine Wilson grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana. In 1986, she graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Humanities, majoring in photography. She moved to California in 1989. Since, she has held such positions as the Kodak Professional Account Executive of Greater Los Angeles; the Technical Film Supervisor at Calumet, Hollywood; and the Assistant Producer for Celebrity/Beauty Photographer, Charles William Bush. Since 2005, she works for The J. Paul Getty Museum; there she is the Senior Staff Assistant to the Manager of Imaging Services. In 2010, she was promoted to Imaging Technician for an on-going project to digitally capture the museum’s photographs collection.

Lillian is an accomplished street and portrait photographer. Some prestigious awards include Lucie “IPA” honorable mentions (2004, 2005, and 2008); a “B&W Magazine” Silver Award (2005); and a “PX3 Prix De La Photographie Paris honorable mention (2008). Her series “Life Stop 217″ was featured in “Focus, Fine Art Photography Magazine” (2008). Her photographs have been exhibited at Paul Kopeikin Gallery, Farmani Gallery, The Photo LA Fine Art Convention, Art LA, and FOA auctions. This fall, she will have a solo exhibition of her current “Commuting” series, at the University of Laverne.
